About Eastern Mediterranean University

Established in 1979 in Northern Cyprus, Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) is a reputable institution listed among the top 1,500 institutions worldwide. EMU’s community comprises 1,101 academic staff members from 35 nations with over 20,000 students. This creates a vibrant intellectual and cultural interchange scene. Ranked in the top 5% of the most esteemed universities worldwide by Times Higher Education. The esteemed associations the University participates in are the International Association of Universities, the Federation of Universities of the Islamic World, the Association of European Universities, and the Community of Mediterranean Universities.

EMU shows it cares about academic success by having many world certifications and accreditations, such as ABET for Engineering and ACA for Communications. EMU offers excellent academic studies for people with many hobbies and job goals. There are 108 graduate studies, 103 diploma or technical diploma programs, and an English Language Preparation School. These give students the tools to do well in school and their careers.

Types of Scholarships

EMU has many types of scholarships, such as International Student Scholarships, all-inclusive scholarships, and scholarships that cover all costs. Each one meets different needs and skill levels of students.

1. International Students

Many international students don’t have to pay 50% to 25% of their fees. The online application is based on grades, and the school decides who is eligible.

2. All-inclusive

Listed in the top 1% of high school graduates from their home country. There is no cost for food, housing, or fees with this prestigious grant. Every year in January, applications are looked at.

3. Tuition Fee Waivers

given to outstanding student applicants through their national university admissions process. Two students from any country could be chosen for this award each year.

Intakes

Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) offers students many admission options to suit their academic and personal schedules from multiple intakes yearly.

Fall Intake

Fall enrollment at Eastern Mediterranean University begins on July 15 and goes until late October. It allows pupils enough time to apply and ensure their admission.

Spring Intake

For individuals who missed enrolling during the Fall term especially, the Spring intake allows students a flexible start for their studies from December 15 until late March.
